The microdermabrasion facial is A form of physical exfoliation that removes surface dead skin cells and excess build up from the pores. Using an aluminum oxide. Crystals combine with suction, the skin surface is abraded and deep cleaned. The treatment can treat rough texture, dryness excess build-up in the pores, mild hyperpigmentation , mild scarring, and dullness.

Who is not a candidate for microdermabrasion?
- Clients on accutane or within 6 months of using Accutane
- Clients who have recently been tanned/sunburned
- Clients with active bacterial, viral or inflammatory skin conditions ie. eczema, rosacea, cold sores, pink eye, psoriasis, other forms of dermatitis
- Clients with open wounds
- Clients undergoing treatment for cancer
- Clients with medical conditions ie. diabetes, cancer, lupus, heart conditions
- Clients who’ve undergone surgery to the face in the last 6 months
- Clients who’ve had facial hair removal in the last 72 hours
What does microdermabrasion feel like?
Clients will experience a mild scratchy feeling. Our aesthetician will adjust the level of suction appropriate to treat your skin concerns while keeping client comfort top of mind. Overall the treatment is very comfortable.
How often should I do this treatment?
Microdermabrasion can be performed weekly and depending on what you are looking to treat our aestheticians will recommend an appropriate treatment plan. Monthly treatments are recommended for clients in a maintenance plan.
What can I expect post treatment?
Your skin will be smooth, hydrated and glowing post treatment. With extractions, our medical aesthetician will work on calming inflammation during the masking portion of the treatment however it is normal to be a little pink or slightly swollen at the extraction site & this is temporary and will subside by the next day.
You will be provided with a facial post care sheet so that you know exactly how to care for your skin in the following 24-48 hours. You will be guided through how to properly care for your skin at home with an appropriate skin care routine that is completely customized to your skin goal.
